Peilun Li Presents The Qing Residential House

Peilun Li, the thinktank behind the award winning project Residential House by Peilun Li explicates, Qing, a color representing Vitality in Chinese culture, becomes a mantra which guides the house to be designed as a dynamic canvas. Due to the low floor height of this building, two voids are created to make a contrast which helps compress space to result horizontal and vertical extension. One by the curve glass wall shapes the stairs into a flower blossom booming upward. The other void connects the formal and private living rooms on different floors and further extends to the glass conservatory till the closed prayer room. Such a void gives the house a flow- dark and bright, in and out. .
