2020 WIDC
2020 WIDC is the key visual created for the World Industrial Design Conference 2020. The design combines three letter I forms taken from the initials of the conference theme: idea, intelligence and industrial Internet. The three primary colours, red, green and blue, are used as the main colours. Many small I shapes merge and flow into the distance like a stream of particles. The composition extends outward from the central WIDC mark to suggest movement towards the future. The key visual measures 20 metres in width and 8 metres in height.
2020 WIDC Key Visual by Shandong Industrial Design Institute was highlighted as an exceptional example of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. 2020 WIDC Key Visual was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2021. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program that recognizes superior design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
