Jingting Mountain Scenic Area

Jingting Mountain Scenic Area is a brand identity created for a key scenic area and national forest park in Anhui Province, China. The identity is based on the idea of cultural exploration through painting, so that a visit feels like walking through a scroll painting. Mountain views, pavilion forms, calm clouds, wild cranes and the local white liquor and green tea are drawn into the graphic language. Six auxiliary graphics support the main mark and can be applied in many settings. The design replaces an earlier image of narrow appeal and suits digital media.

Jingting Mountain Scenic Area Brand Identity by Ying Gao was featured as an outstanding example of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Jingting Mountain Scenic Area Brand Identity was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2024. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design prize which honors exceptional design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
