Reserva das Parkias
The Parkias Reserve is an important environmental project that recovers the soil, reforests degraded areas with native trees and preserves biodiversity. Based on semiotic studies, its logo was designed to represent the Parkia pendula, an iconic tree up to 40m tall with a unique biodesign due to its red floral globes that hang from pendulums. Combining these references with the aesthetics of indigenous body paintings and the feather headdress, the crown of the native people of the Brazilian forests, a new representation of Parkia was born: the crowned tree, the majesty of the Atlantic Forest
Reserva das Parkias Brand Identity by Tiago de Albuquerque Sales e Kiemle has been identified as an outstanding representation of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Reserva das Parkias Brand Identity earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2024. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design award which celebrates exceptional design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
