Virtual and Reality

Virtual and Reality is a visual image design exhibition that interprets the process of design creation. The title joins two opposite words to reflect the conflict between abstraction and reality. Font strokes are dismantled, and the tools used in design form the structure of the letters. The series includes posters, cards, notebooks, stationery, direct mail and packaging. All items are printed in two special colors, and the applied methods include embossing, local glazing and origami folding. The exhibition was shown in Tainan, Taipei and Kaohsiung.

Animated Koopmans Logo System

Koopmans asked Rebrandt to communicate the breadth of the range more clearly. The word "print shop" no longer represents what they do. This new ID is therefore not only an aesthetically appealing design language but also a strategic marketing instrument that communicates the wide range of products they can offer. Ruud Winder, head of design Rebrandt, wanted the dynamic working attitude of the organization to be reflected in the designs. The movement contrasts with the supposed stillness of a print company, precisely that breadth had to be emphasized.

Centn

Centn is a smart irrigation platform for agriculture. The platform collects environmental data and monitors crop status through connected sensors and equipment, then generates an irrigation plan supported by an expert decision system. Precise volume control helps reduce irrigation costs. Separate crop and equipment views can be shown together through a guide track added to the navigation, giving a global overview. An interactive equipment map allows users to select and group devices directly, which simplifies configuration and remote field control.

Smart Wind Turbine Prediction

Smart Wind Turbine Prediction is a software interface for the intelligent operation and maintenance of wind farms. The interface uses three-dimensional visualization, virtual simulation and data graphs to show turbine conditions and to locate faults quickly. Machine learning models are configured by dragging and dropping data and model settings, so single or multiple turbine types can be covered. Fault warnings are delivered about twenty minutes earlier on average, and model accuracy reaches 81 percent. Manual maintenance costs and safety risks are reduced.

Smart Water Resources Dispatch

Smart Water Resources Dispatch is an interface for a city level water resource management system. The system combines 5G, the Internet of Things, intelligent sensing, cloud services and big data to monitor water conditions through a full cycle. An artificial intelligence model supports forecasting, early warning, pre-event drills and contingency planning for water security events. Key data are updated in real time within a digital twin view built with three-dimensional visualization. The interface helps dispatchers prevent risks and allocate water resources efficiently.

Ancient Village

Old Town of Lijiang is a series of illustrations created to present and protect the culture of an ancient town in China. The illustrations show cultural heritage elements, local scenes and layered colours in a national style. Each image is drawn with vector design software at 800 by 800 millimetres and reproduced with high quality printing technology. The series shares the natural and human heritage of Lijiang in a visual language suited to modern taste. The aim is to raise public awareness of traditional village culture and its protection.
